Geometry Art – Step it up!

Today for the SLJ I did Geometry Art – Step it up! It was really fun picking out different shades of colors in different spots. We decided we will keep the colors in the same spot and don’t move them around. Thank you very much David C for making thsi awesome task.

Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Thank you!

  1. Kia ora Swaimah,

It’s Charlotte here, a blog commenter for Manaiakalani. What a fantastic job you have done on this task!

The colours you and your brother have used on your Geometry art are beautiful! I notice you have used green, yellow and orange to decorate yours, are one of those colours your favourite colour? My favourite colour is orange as it reminds me of a sunrise/sunset.

I would love to see you give this activity another go and try move the shapes around to create your own unique piece of geometric art!

  2. Hi Swaimah,

It’s Emma here from the Summer Learning Journey.
It’s great to see you have updated this task and shown us your awesome geometry art work. I really love all the colours you have used. I can see you have uploaded your art work from the kickstart part of this activity and then added some more digital shapes too, how clever! You must be a pro at using google drawings.

The step it up part of this task wants your to write instructions for your partner (in this case your brother) and for them to have a go creating an entirely new piece of artwork. Did you have a go at doing that? It’s a great way to challenge yourself on giving instructions, often we don’t realise that giving clear instructions is a skill and sometimes takes a bit of practice. I would love to see your brother’s original creation!

    Thanks Swaimah,

    Emma – SLJ
