Summer Holiday 101 – Step it up!

Today for the SLJ I did Summer Holiday 101 – Step it up! It was EXACTLY like the kick start activity where we had to find a cold place around Aotearoa/New Zealand to stay for the holidays during winter. Now it’s the exact opposite. We had to find a place around Aotearoa/New Zealand to stay for the holidays during summer. I picked Rotorua because I’ve been there before with I came Back from Afghanistan. I had to stay back in the Rotorua hotel because of quarantine.

Why did I pick Rotorua?

I would really love to spend my summer holidays at Rotorua, New Zealand. Rotorua is a PEACEFUL and WONDERFUL place to stay for a few weeks or months. I would bring my Abaya which is something every muslim girl wears. Sunscreen to keep myself safe, Sunglasses to keep my eyes safe and an umbrella so then I can have some shade everywhere I go. Rotorua is a place where people are super humble and so responsible for their needs.

Winter Holiday 101 – Kick Start

Today for the SLJ I did Winter Holiday 101 – Kick Start. We had to find a cold place around Aotearoa/New Zealand to stay for the holidays. It was tricky at first to search up some places around Aotearoa/New Zealand. I decided to pick Ranfurly, Otago, New Zealand. Ranfurly, Otago looks so cool with all the cute animals and the wonderful weather. It’s also snows there which I have been waiting for!

Why did I pick Ranfurly, Otago?

I would really love to spend my winter holiday at Ranfurly, Otago. Ranfurly is a wonderful place in Otago, New Zealand. There’s snow everywhere and there are EXTREMELY FUN activities to play there. I would LOVE to go snow skating. I have also wanted to play with snow since AGES. I also heard that people in Ranfurly, Otago are really nice and they treat you like your the queen or king. One thing I will hate about being at Ranfurly, Otago is how cold and freezing it will be. It might feel like antarctica.

Poem Postcard – Step it up!

Today for the SLJ I did Poem Postcard – Step it up! It was again EXTREMELY easy but i bit of a challenge too. I had to make my own poem postcard from a google drawings. I decided to make a poem postcard for one my of friends that I met online on a cool site called “Edublogs”. As you can see I made an art piece of a baker (that is my friend) cooking some stuff in the oven.

I made this for my best friend Jamie. Jamie is a student from St Patricks School who is participating in the SLJ with me! She has commented on my blogs throughout my SLJ way. We both kept commenting on each others blogs and we then became friends. I read Jamie’s about me/bio and I found out she loves of bake. I really love baking too, mostly traditional desserts. I made this art piece specifically for her.
