Today for SLJ I did R.E.S.P.E.C.T – Step it up! Today we had to make a design that we could put onto our shirt that would show what respect means. I picked a really cool and incredible design here because I think t goes well with respect. It has nice bright and wonderful colours. I hope you enjoyed this task I’ve done. Thank you so much Mrs Tele’a for making this task. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!
R.E.S.P.E.C.T – Kick start
Today for SLJ I did R.E.S.P.E.C.T – Kick start. We had to draw a Tongan kiekie. I made a kiekie that is yellow and red. I found this design on google. Thank you so much Mrs Tele’a for making this task. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!
Summer Stlye – Step it up!
Today for SLJ I did Summer Stlye – Step it up! This time I did my picture/drawing physically. I chose to do it physically because i thought it’ll make it a bit more better and more easier. Thank you so much Amie Williams for making this task. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!
Summer Stlye – Kick Start
Today for SLJ I did Summer Stlye – Kick Start. It was pretty easy because all we had to do was make a contrast art with cool and warm colours. We can either do it digitally or physically. As you can see I did it digitally. I used an app called Kleki so shoutout to kleki. Thank you so much Amie Williams for making this task. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!
Comic Quest – Step it up!
SLJ – Superhero – Step It Up
Today I did my first SLJ task. I did the step it up Superhero Task. We had to create a comic strip about 2 superheros from our country. I picked a superhero called “Sooraya Qadir” and a villian called “Nimrod Sentinels”. Sooraya Qadir is a superhero that can transform her body into a cloud of dust. She can blow her enemies away with her power. She uses the dust to blow away her enemies and she can tell them off. Nimrod is the enemy of Sooraya. What happened in my comic strip was that Sooraya was practising her dust powers to fight her enemies. Nimrodthen came out of no where and asked Sooraya if he could show her his powers. Sooraya accepted the request and then Nimrod blasted out some pink balls from his hands and hurt Sooraya with it. The End! Thank you Mrs Grant and David. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!
Word Problems
This week for Maths I did Word problems. We had to re-create the questions that were on the paper onto slides, and then work them out. There were about 20 or more questions that we had to answer. Whoever finished all the questions will get a prize. Whaea Saf still hasn’t chosen the people who won the prize. The maths questions were quiet easy but the first 4 were challenging for me.
My highlight was having so much easy work this week because, I was suffering this term.
My lowlight was having to suffered with my Best friend Zaria.

DLO – Make It Work – Shoe Rack – The 5 Musketeers
Introduction: This term for our DLO team 5 had to make a project that would improve team 5/school. Our theme was “Make It Work”. Everyone in team 5 had to get into groups of 5-6 people. Each group had to make one project each. What we basically had to do was find a project that we wanted to create, research about it, and then create it. Our group was called “The 5 Musketeers”. This term we are studying TECHNOLOGY. We’re asking the question, ‘What can we design, build, create or change to improve school life at Pt England School?’. Working with a group of people we had to present a movie. Using the question given to us to create something we can use at school that could be for fun or to benefit our school. This is because our theme for this Term is ‘Make it work’. Our group included: Me (Swaimah), Zaria, Vika, Eleni, Lynette.
Plan: We first planned together on a piece of paper and discussed what our project is going to be. We all agreed to do a shoe rack because we have noticed that outside our classroom the shoes have been a mess. People have been throwing their shoes like animals. We thought that we could make a shoe rack exactly like mini cubbyholes. We sketched out the shoe rack and how it would look . We first thought that we would make a shoe rack with a storage place at the bottom. But then we knew it’ll take a lot of time to create.
Supplies: We had to research the materials and wood for our project. We went online on Mitre-10 and Bunnings warehouse to find some materials. We found some wood and nails to use for our project. Our team came together and collected all the supplies. We all agreed with the prices that the materials were. We had a price limit so we kept the budget low.
Problem: We had a problem with the project. Our problem was that our teacher who kindly went and bought the materials said that we couldn’t make our whole project because they didn’t have enough money. We just rolled with it but I was a bit sad because we worked hard for weeks/months and we couldn’t make our full project. Our teacher only gave us 9-10 planks of wood to use and some nails.
Create Project: We planned out our project and placed them together. We then had to screw the wood planks together and then figure out if we did it right. It took some time to actually think really hard about where the planks of wood would go. It took us about 30 minutes or so to figure out our shoe rack. We then screwed it all together and made our final project. We then painted the shoe rack to give it a bit of a cool vibe.

Algebra – Week 7
Task description: This week during Maths, we are learning to find the appropriate strategy to solve each word problem. We were also looking at solving problems that involve multiplication and division and using equations to express a problem. My hightlight was finishing my maths really fast because it was so easy. Everything about this task was pretty easy and self explanatory so personally I don’t have a low light. I don’t have anything to work on for this week either. After that I completed the task, and posted it on my blog. I enjoyed this task very much, and I hope to do more like this soon. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave a comment; thank you for visiting my blog.
