Free choices – Writing

Task description: Today for writing I did Free choices. It was really fun trying out new creative free choice tasks to do! I’m supposed to pick only 2 free choice tasks but I did 4 instead because I finished all my work. My first choice was if I could see one color for the rest of my life what would it be? My Second free choice task was what I would do if I won 2 million dollars. My third free choice was make a poem about something gross. My last free choice task was to pretend  you are stranded on a desert Island. Write a story about your experiences. Let me know if you guys would like a part 2 of pretend  you are stranded on a desert Island. Write a story about your experiences.

My highlight was writing the story about what I would do if I won 2 million dollars. My lowlight was thinking of what tasks to do because they were all fantastic choices. Something I’ll work on next time is nothing, I think I did great this week. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Blog Commenting – Writing

Task description: Today for writing I did Blog Commenting. For this task we had to go on  5 students blogs

(from our school) and leave them a positive, helpful and thoughtful comment. I chose Vika, Salem, Eleni, Tumanako & Elijah. This task was really easy and fun to do because we usually do this, but most of the time we don’t. I loved how each person I picked has different tasks/work and they have a good detailed task description.

My highlight was seeing all of the bloggers work and how hard they worked. My lowlight was trying to think of the people I should pick and what task to comment on. Something I’ll work on next time is trying to add more details to the comments and to give them some feedback/ideas. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

DLO – Animation – Fit for purpose

Task description: This term for DLO (Digital Online Learning) I did an animation for the theme Fit for purpose. We had to make an animation about a healthy kid or ourselves having the perfect time of sleep, Eating healthy, Exercising, Self talk and positive talk. It was really fun to do but it was annoying at the same time because we only got 8-9 weeks to complete. I also had a tough time because I was away for 2 weeks and I couldn’t do my animation. I was so sad that everyone else was in front of me. I decided to make an animation about myself having a healthy lifestyle.

The Video will take a while to load, It’s just like that. You might think that I have red hair throughout my animation but it’s actually my Hijab. I decided to do my Hijab a bit differently because I wanted to add some color. I really enjoyed doing this animation but it takes a really long time to create the backgrounds and to make the animation.

My highlight is finishing my DLO before the end of the term and being able to get marked for it. My low light is doing my DLO because it was really hard and it took a long time to do and I wanted to give up halfway through it but I pushed through and I got it done. Sometime to work on for me is next time/term I wanna finish my work faster.  Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

When Things Go Wrong

Task description: This week during Cybersmart, I did When Things Go Wrong. We had to complete the first slide and then read the rest of it as just information about what to do when someone is unkind to you. This task was really easy and I would like to do  it again. My highlight was completing slide 1. My lowlight was taking the picture because it looked creepy and weird. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Thank you Ma’am – Respond to text

Task description: This week during Reading, I did Thank you Ma’am – Respond to text. We had to read a 4 page story called “Thank you Ma’am” by Langston hughes. As a child being raised by his grandmother in Lawrence, Kansas, Langston Hughes began a lifelong exploration of literature and blues music. He later went to Columbia University, worked in hotels, and travelled the world as a cook’s assistant. After being discovered, Hughes went on to write novels, short stories, and plays as well as poems. Hughes’s work shows a special understanding of everyday people – people who may not be famous or rich but whose lives are inspiring and valuable nonetheless.

This reading work was really interesting to complete and the book was really weird because the lady was angry with the boy and kind of kidnapped him for about an hour or so. The lady took the boy back to her home and told him to was his face. She then made some food for them and asked the boy about his life. The boy had a really tough and hard life. He had no family to look after him at home and that he was struggling we money and food. Then the lady released him and told him to not steal her purse ever again.

My highlight was making the video with my buddy, because it was really fun and behind the scenes we just giggled and laughed. My lowlight is reading the book because it was long and answering the questions because it was boring and kind of weird. Something I’ll work on next time is to start enjoying reading more and to start understanding the text. I enjoyed reading today. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

This reading work was really interesting to complete and the book was really weird because the lady was angry with the boy and kind of kidnapped him for about an hour or so. The lady took the boy back to her home and told him to wash his face. She then made some food for them and asked the boy about his life. The boy had a really tough and hard life. He had no family to look after him at home and that he was struggling with money and food. Then the lady released him and told him to not steal her purse ever again.

My highlight was putting the words in the right places. My lowlight trying to fit all the words in a small table. Something I’ll work on next time is to start enjoying reading more and to start understanding the text. I enjoyed reading today. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Algebra Operations

Task description: This week during Maths, we are learning to figure out what the bags represent and what they equal up too. It was a bit tricky to add the numbers together because you get really confused with the numbers. My highlight was finishing the task really fast because it was really easy and doing it with my friend. My lowlight is answering the questions because it was boring but I finished them. I don’t have anything to work on this week, but anyways I enjoyed doing maths today. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Algreba 1

Task description: This week during Math, I did Algebra 1. We had to answer 4 hard & tricky questions. I had to work with my friend. It was really tricky that we ended up working with our teacher Whaea Saf. Algebra looks hard to learn but it’s easy when you actually learn it. But today’s work was more tricky than last weeks.

My highlight was finishing my work pretty fast and being able to understand my work really well. My low light was that the maths problems were written properly and we had to make it up as we went. This week I don’t have anything I want to work on as I have understood my work and finished it off really fast. After that I completed the task, I posted it on my blog. I enjoyed this task very much, and I hope to do more like this soon. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave a comment; thank you for visiting my blog.

Tongan Travel (Measurement L3)

Today for Math I did Tongan Travel (Measurement L3). This week is Tongan language week. We had a task to do with tongan language week. We had to look at this Tongan Travel photo of the math and then we had to answer 2 questions. We then had to make our own graph about four of our class mates. I picked Vika, Zaria, Mary & Lynette. My highlight was doing the graphs about my friends/classmates. My lowlight is completing the 2 questions (because the answers to the questions were hard). Something I’ll work on next time is nothing, But next time I whoever made the slides should add more information onto the PDF photo graphs. Because theres not a lot og information. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Swaimah – Vocabulary Swap

Task description: This week during Writing, I did a Vocabulary Swap. What we had to do was fill a table with 10 adjectives and/or verbs, then your friend ( Zaria was mine) and they will give you their 10 verbs and/or adjectives. We then had to make a story with those words and bold them. It was really fun to do because our stories came out good.

My highlight was making a story out of random words. My low light was that my friend hated the words she had but in the end she worked it out. Something for us to work on is trying to give harder words to each other. After that we completed the task, we posted it on our blog. I enjoyed this task very much, and I hope to do more like this soon. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave a comment; thank you for visiting my blog.
