Comic Quest – Step it up!

Today for the SLJ I did Comic Quest –Step it up! We had to make our own little comic quest and add speech bubbles and designs to it. I did a cheerleading team dancing for an american football match. Everyone then cheered them on while they danced. I really loved this task so much because it’s so creative and you can make your own little comic strips. Thank you so much Mr Goodwin for everything you’ve done towards this task. Please leave a lot of comments on my blog. Thank you!

Comic Quest – Kick Start

Today for the SLJ I did Comic Quest – Kick Start. It was really easy because we had to pick 2 characters from the slides and make a little comic strip out of it. We had to complete the task by doing at least 3-4 slides. I picked to do the 2 girls at a beach, and they were both having a sand castle challenge. They both said “I won!” at the same time, they ended up have a fight/argument about it. 2 boys came in to settle the fight down. !!The end!! Thank you very much Mr Goodwin (Matua Goody – my version) for providing this task for us. We really had a great and fun time completing this task. Please leave a lot of comments on my blog. Thank you!

SLJ – Superhero – Step It Up

Today I did my first SLJ task. I did the step it up Superhero Task. We had to create a comic strip about 2 superheros from our country. I picked a superhero called “Sooraya Qadir” and a villian called “Nimrod Sentinels”. Sooraya Qadir is a superhero that can transform her body into a cloud of dust. She can blow her enemies away with her power. She uses the dust to blow away her enemies and she can tell them off. Nimrod is the enemy of Sooraya. What happened in my comic strip was that Sooraya was practising her dust powers to fight her enemies. Nimrodthen came out of no where and asked Sooraya if he could show her his powers. Sooraya accepted the request and then Nimrod blasted out some pink balls from his hands and hurt Sooraya with it. The End! Thank you Mrs Grant and David. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Thank you!

Kōwhai Drawing – Kick Start

Today for the SLJ I did Kōwhai Drawing – Kick Start. It was really fun drawing this type of flower and knowing some facts about Kōwhai’s! Here are some facts that I’ve learnt about Kowhai’s.

Fact 1: Kowhai’s are best known for their brilliant yellow flowers that appear in profusion in Spring and stand out among the forest greenery.

Fact 2: Trees of this Kowhai’s are long lived with one proven to be 460 years old and others thought to be up to 1800 years old.

Fact 3:  The bark of the kowhai tree can be used in a bath to help with bruising and has long been used by Māori to help with broken bones as well as itching, shingles, and dandruff.

Thank you very much Michelle Tate for making this task I’ve really enjoyed it!
